Water conservation is using water efficiently, to reduce water waste.

What is the City doing to conserve water?

• The City has developed a Water Management and Conservation Plan (WMCP) that summarizes the City’s water supply sources and identifies a strategy for managing the City’s water supply in an efficient manner and for meeting the City’s existing and future demands.  The City’s existing approved WMCP is available at the link below.  The City is currently in the process of updating its WMCP.

Leak Adjustment

The City of Jefferson does offer a one time leak adjustment throughout the life of someone living at a property. There is an application that the registered home owner must fill out and return with receipts showing that the leak was fixed. If the adjustment is approved, only 1/2 of the EXCESS will be removed.
