Budget
The Budget Committee is made up of the full City Council and an equal number of Jefferson citizens. Meetings usually start in late April or early May of each year. By law, the City Council must adopt the budget no later than June 30th of each year.
FY 2022-23 Budget Data
5/13/2022: The 1st budget meeting to review and discuss the proposed 2022-23 fiscal year budget is scheduled for Tuesday May 24, 2022. The meeting will be held at City Hall and via Zoom. 5/20/2022: The materials and proposed budget document for FY 2022-23 can be found here. The Budget Message will be presented at the budget meeting on May 24, 2022.

5/26/2022: The Budget Committee met on 5/24/2022 to receive, discuss, and take public comment on the proposed FY 2022-23 budget. 13 members of the committee were present in person or virtually. The Budget Committee worked through the complete budget in one meeting, making one change, and voted unanimously to forward it on to the City Council for adoption in June. 6/10/2022: The Jefferson City Council will hold a public hearing on June 23, 2022 at 6:30pm, to discuss, and consider for adoption, the FY 2022-23 budget as approved by the Budget Committee.
